Fannin Innovation Studio Entrepreneurship Fellow Program

Fannin Innovation Studio is currently seeking applications for a Two-Year, Full-Time Fellowship.

The fellowship program is designed to provide innovative scientists with the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills and promote the commercialization of life science technologies within the Texas Medical Center.

Applications are invited for a 2-year, full-time fellowship from individuals with a strong scientific background who wish to develop a career in entrepreneurship. Applicants must have experience in life science research, clinical care, or life science commercialization and be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for the duration of the fellowship. A doctoral degree or equivalent is highly desirable.

TMC Startup Career Fair – February 12, 2016

Startup Career Fair makes it easy for students and professionals to find new, exciting opportunities where they can make an impact, and gives startups access to the talent they need to grow. More information about the startups and available opportunities can be found on the event website.

The third annual Startup Career Fair will take place Friday, February 12, 2016 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at TMCx (2450 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX 77021).

Interested students, alumni and professionals can learn more and register online through Friday, February 5.

We, the planning Committee for the 5th Annual Presidential Career Symposium, represent the postdoctoral associations from a number of institutions within the Texas Medical Center. We have planned a valuable and exciting day that will allow you to explore many advanced-degree career options and to receive practical advice from industry experts.

This year’s annual Symposium will feature a keynote address from Dr. Teresa Woodruff, Thomas J. Watkins Memorial Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. She was named to the Time Magazine 2013 list of the World’s Most Influential People and was voted 112th. She was the only scientist on the list! There will be also Breakout Sessions and Workshops to provide you with the critical advice you need for your future career. The Breakout Sessions are Q&A sessions where you can ask for career advice from panels of PhD-holders who have become experts in their respective career paths. A wide range of career opportunities will be represented! The Workshops are designed to provide you with practical advice that can help you identify your next steps, be more productive in your career search, manage your online profile, and perform better during interviews.
